To be honest I don’t know how we got in this situation but here we are…2 years ago we moved to Florida and everything was going great. My husband’s business was going well until he was injured in a car accident and missed a lot of time working with clients because of all the Dr’s appointments, & his neck was injured badly so he needed complete rest. Our savings was drained during that time.
Since his recovery we just haven’t been able to catch up. I’m a housewife, & our daughter works cleaning vacation rentals. Even though I struggle with a severe panic & anxiety disorder I’ve been trying to find work, but due to my gap in employment I’m struggling to find anything.
My husband then started working non stop at a new brokerage on a new real estate team but we had so much catching up to do & then just recently there was a big shake up on his team with leadership & that turns into a super long story but basically everything there collapsed, leaving my husband high and dry.
On top of that the owner of our house shows up out of nowhere Thanksgiving weekend, demands to come in starts dropping f bombs, not about us, but about the property manager. It was all very weird. Long story kinda short, later that evening the property manager calls to say that the owner wants us to move out because she’s gonna move in her daughters. Now we have to move asap unexpectedly & can’t afford that or the rent here this month.
Last year at this time the owner of the rental we were in then told us to leave because she wanted to sell her house. So for the 2nd Christmas season in a row we’re faced with the same situation. It’s honestly been one thing after another recently. We’ve been denied for personal loans probably because we haven’t been able to pay our bills.
I should also mention we deliver food in our available time but we had to use that money to pay our $400 water bill, we’ve paid half of our overdue power bill, yeah Duke Energy in Florida is RIDICULOUS.
I also have made FIVERR gigs offering social media video ads & graphic design services. I’m starting to freelance slowly but surely but won’t help immediately obviously. My husband is looking for a second job. He would dig ditches if he had to but there’s just nothing available.
His work was going great, he’s amazing and a military Veteran who is passionate about helping Veterans find homes. Everything was flowing great until his car accident. He is also working on another real estate-ish job.
So we desperately need to pay the rent here & need to secure another house to move into. We hate to do this, like really really hate to do this, but we’re so stressed & don’t know what else to do. Whatever can be donated is very, very, very much appreciated and will not be forgotten. Thank you so much!
